We are proud to announce the approval of the European project PRIMA MountainHER of which Open Fields is a partner for agronomic, marketing, business planning and dissemination activities.
The project will take place in the mountain farming communities of Italy, Algeria, Croatia, Lebanon, Morocco and Tunisia, with the aim of strengthening their potential by paying particular attention to the role of women and their associations as advocates of agroecological transformation.
The planned actions range from experimentation in sustainable agriculture, to the local food production up to the enhancement and promotion of products, with particular attention also to strengthening the role of women in associations.
We are particularly proud to contribute our skills to the enhancement of mountain communities, and to work with the team of exceptional partners:

For the field experimentation activities, Open Fields will benefit from the collaboration of the experimental agronomists and technicians of the Azienda Agraria Sperimentale Stuard (Parma, Italy, www.stuard.it).
The Partnership for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean Area (PRIMA, https://prima-med.org/) is the most ambitious joint programme to be undertaken in the frame of Euro-Mediterranean cooperation. PRIMA aims to “build research and innovation capacities and to develop knowledge and common innovative solutions for agro-food systems, to make them sustainable, and for integrated water provision and management in the Mediterranean area, to make those systems and that provision and management more climate resilient, efficient, cost-effective and environmentally and socially sustainable, and to contribute to solving water scarcity, food security, nutrition, health, well-being and migration problems upstream”. PRIMA also aims at to contribute to United Nations’ Agenda 2030 through the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
